"It's great to present new, cutting-edge material to a tech-savvy audience," said Amanda Watlington following her presentation "Blogs: The Secrets to Their Success Revealed" at tonight's Internet Professionals 495 meeting at EMC, Hopkinton, MA. Following a challenging Q&A, Amanda had an opportunity to show off the just-pressed CD's of her new book, and just like any proud author was pleased at the reception to her latest work.
The book, entitled Business Blogs: A Practical Guide by Bill Ives and Amanda Watlington is a 500+ page, link-laden, heavily illustrated guide for those wanting to make use of this new, exciting medium. The book is offered as a download, CD or print version with CD at the website accessed through http://www.businessblogguide.com.
We really enjoyed speaking with fellow participants before and after the presentation. Many of those present were not only skilled Web professionals, but active bloggers and users of RSS as well, which really raised the level of the discussion. And when people are interested in the technology, things happen . . . such as the impromptu Audioblog included below. Participants in the audio portion include Mary Mendoza, Gene Burnard (pictured here) and your's truly.

Also, many thanks to our host/program chairperson, Susan Joyce and to Sandra Story for the great gift of English muffins which will make our breakfast tomorrow!
NOTE: If you were not able to get all of your questions answered this evening, or were unable to give Amanda a business card (which will be used to forward a copy of this evening's slides), please leave comments or questions here, and she will get back to you.
